Raingutter Regatta Rules

Taken from the Great Rivers Council, Boonslick District – Raingutter Regatta Rules of 2006

BOAT SPECIFICATIONS AND DESIGN:

Must use original materials included within the official kit.
Modifications/accessories may be added as long as basic kit is used.
  1. HULL: No longer than 7", nor shorter than 6 1/2". Must be a single hull design as pictured in kit, no catamarans or single hulls with outriggers allowed.
  2. MAST: 61/2" from deck to top.
  3. KEEL: Supplied in kit.
  4. RUDDER: Supplied in kit.
  5. SAIL: Supplied in kit. Sail as installed can be no larger than the material supplied.

RACE OPERATIONS:

OFFICIALS: Design judging will be done by a committee of individuals not associated with any pack. Derby Day officials have the right to disqualify any entry not complying with set specifications or anyone disagreeing with decisions in an unsportsmanlike manner. The Derby will be run as a double elimination.

PRIZES: Awards will be given 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in each grade group in both race and design.
